Traveling with baby on board

This time we talk about the parents who love to travel, but are hesitant to travel with a baby for some obvious reasons. We’ll try to take on the various issues point wise and help you out.

You may be traveling either by road or an airplane, if the baby is happy, the journey would be nice and easy. What are the key points to put on your checklist?

When should you travel?

Avoid traveling in a time window of 3pm to 7pm, most importantly, if you are traveling by plane, as this is the time when the babies are irritated, dizzy and looking for a quiet surrounding. Try to book tickets in the mornings or the late evenings as your baby is fresh awake and well fed.

Where to sit?

On an airplane, try to book a window seat for several basic reasons, like it offers you a wall so you could control the kid over the other side, you can always control the amount of light falls on the baby, there’s an open view to keep the baby busy and most importantly, you get some privacy to nurse or breastfeed the baby.

Travel companion

Try and hook up a travel companion. Family or friends are the first choice, in other cases, let any cozy company from the work tag along. This would give you a chance to use the washroom, clean up and any help with the baby if required.

What to carry along?

Now this is a crucial answer, as long with the feeding bottle, diapers, and usual stuff, try and carry a car seat that you use with the baby in the car. Airplane seats are not really meant for babies, and your baby would sleep a long miles if you get it along.

Bring extra diapers, inserts and loads of wipes; it’ll be easy to manage a blowout. Pack the baby’s toys as they are a good diversion.

In case you don’t get an extra seat, bring along a baby carrier to keep your baby safe and save your arms from pains developed after carrying the baby for hours all together.

Breast feeding while traveling

It’s very important to breastfeed your baby while traveling as it boosts up the immune system of the baby to fight with flu or bacteria, which are really common to catch while travelling.
There may be more to add the list, but these friendly tips will certainly help you while tyou travel with your baby.
